A Soft Glow

One of our favorite opportunities in the space was the frosted window running the store's length above the beauty stations.  This consistent diffused light would make the perfect backlighting for our transparent AirplantFrame design, highlighting the unique forms of these plants.  Finding ways to integrate our work with the architecture and design of a space is one of the first considerations whenever proposing a design.  Airplantman always seeks to bring attention to what makes air plants special, specifically their ability to thrive while floating in air without soil.  The bright diffused glow of this window provided the perfect opportunity to provide the space with a soft and verdant vibe, perfect for this client. 

Kit of Parts

Through our diverse product offerings there are countless ways to add green decor to any space.  For this project we used a mix of ceiling mounted frames with smaller tabletop pieces throughout the store.  This included our tabletop AirplantVessels in hand finished wood and AirplantFrames displayed using our AirplantFrame 'feet'.  These thoughtfully design add-on's make from curly maple wood brings the vertical garden off the wall, offering the ability to use Airplantman's AirplantFrame either vertically or horizontally on any surface.  The possibilities are endless and the staff loved merchandising the store's beauty products alongside these perfect 'green' accents.  A more sustainable alternative to cut flowers or succulents which struggle in the lower light environment these Tillandsia thrive and through a mix of on-site watering and our periodic maintenance visit kept the installation looking great with minimal waste.
