Strength of Repetition 

Porch is a beautiful home and garden boutique that features a rotating series of art installations within its beautiful retail space.  Airplantman connected with them and the result was one of our favorite pieces. The use of multiple AirplantFrame vertical gardens and AirplantVessel tabletop pieces adds rhythm and drama to any space.  A series of our 11"x18" AirplantFrames oriented vertically created a strong tempo that was is balanced by the unexpected variety of shapes and sizes of the tabletop AirplantVessels.  Staged on a stunning wood credenza with a library of landscape and gardening books we loved the 'lifestyle' vibe this evoked, while also elevating the aesthetic beyond typical greenery.    This indoor design that highlights how plants can become ‘art’ with Airplantman’s thoughtful and refined designs.

Plant Pallete

For this installation we had some incredible Tillandsia or air plants available and the result was breathtaking.  The blooms on the achyrostachys are nothing short of astounding, arching up many times the height of the plant.  Some gorgeous stricta cultivars had bold pink flower spikes that grab the eye.  The vessels also feature the whimsical waving arms of both bulbosa and caput-medusae.  

Hand Made

We love collaborating with other artists and designers for our products.  These ceramic vessels are handmade and feature small irregularities that we absolutely adore.  The combination with air plants with their clean but unique forms is perfect.  This project also featured reclaimed wood AirplantFrames from talented woodworkers.  A balance of precision and organic, rustic and modern, natural and man-made is what we always strive for in our work.
